Alberta Powersports, Alberta’s leader in Motorcycles, Boats, ATVs, and Power Equipment
“Pitster Pro was founded out of a need for an “out of the box” competitive Pit Bike. Pit bikes have been around for years and began life as basic transportation around the “Pits” during various race events. Naturally, boys will be boys and these racers began hopping up their bikes with larger motors and lightweight components, while still maintaining the small wheel size. This led to what is now sanctioned Pit Bike racing.

I would love it if finding parts was easier up here in Canada, my 2009 LXR 160R is starting to show its age. It’s getting difficult to fix even though it was the bike to have back in the day because it was winning MMSX Vegas back then. Such a great bike.
Man, i miss TJ’s. That place was awesome! Grumpy kiwis dude was a riot. Had everything layed out in rows. 3 rows of hondas, 3 rows of kawis, 3 rows of suzukis. Then the brit pit at the end, and harleys had their own sacred corner, then odds and ends for trikes and quads etc you name it! It was great fun to show up on a sunny day with a bag of tools, and if you wanted to take your chances just wandering around looking, you would luck out and find all kinds of other accessories and cool stuff while hunting. But if you were in a hurry or whatever, they boys at the front would be smoking pipe tobacco and ready to tell you with almost supernatural memory where to look for whatever. I need a throttle tube for a ’79 gs850. And i needed it the season after he closed. Its been such a pita to find stuff since! had I gotten there the summer prior and asked, he’d have said ‘sure, go look through the suzukis theres at least three there that have what you need. if theyve been taken already, just head over to the kowasakis and look for xyz kowis, they used the same parts in those years’. and everytime I’d find what i needed plus something else cool. After TJs closed, ‘the old motorcycle shop’ was the only other shop i knew to goto. put it was rare they had as much of the older stuff i needed for my vintage suzi. Tho I DID find an extra carb and air box, but not the throttle tube i needed. He had the throttle cables I needed, but it wasn’t the same as TJs. TJ’s was like the old pick your part for cars when you didnt have to pay a buck to get in, and they were actually happy to see my young son with me to help his ole man out and learn thing or two too. A friend of mine just mentioned that this is the place that bought most of TJ’s old stock. If you guys are like TJ’s, then I am totally STOKED to come in and grab what i need and see whatever else cool stuff you guys have!
